With my middle little’s Science Birthday Party just days away, I thought I would give one more experiment a try. I have to say I was pretty skeptical about this slime recipe actually working out, but it came together amazingly! I couldn’t keep from playing with it and when my youngest wandered into the kitchen to see what I was doing, she couldn’t resist the lure of the slime either.
Materials + Supplies
- White Glue
- Food Coloring
- Measuring Cup
- Mixing Bowl
- In a bowl, add 1 cup of glue, 1 cup warm water + your coloring. Stir until combined.
- In a measuring cup, add 1/2 cup warm water + 1 tsp Borax. Stir until dissolved.
- Pour the Borax mixture into the glue mixture + stir. The reaction happens immediately! Keep mixing until all the liquid is absorbed.
You can stir with the spoon, but I found it easier to mix it together with my hands. It’s crazy how it just soaks up all the liquid and comes to together into a fabulous oozy slime. The slime can be stored in an airtight container.
